Risk Analysis in E-commerce via Fuzzy Logic
Authors
Abstract:
This paper describes the development of a fuzzy decision support system (FDSS) for the assessment of risk in E-commerce (EC) development. A Web-based prototype FDSS is suggested to assist EC project managers in identifying potential EC risk factors and the corresponding project risks. A risk analysis model for EC development using a fuzzy set approach is proposed and incorporated into the FDSS. For running the fuzzy set approach, the researchers use MATLAB software. The research methodology includes these stages: At first, identifying the factors effect on the development of the E-commerce with the help of experts; secondly, defining the suitable membership function for each factor. There are three layers in the fuzzy system that every layers output is input for next layer. Then, the system calculates the final risk through SUGENO inference engine for E-commerce. Indeed the suggested architecture for the model with the help of experts is presented in this paper.

full textEvaluating E-commerce Trust Using Fuzzy Logic
Trust is widely recognized as an essential factor for the continual development of business to customer electronic commerce (B2C EC). Many trust models have been developed, however, most are subjective and do not take into account the vagueness and ambiguity of EC trust and the customers’ intuitions and experience when conducting online transactions. In this article, we develop a fuzzy trust mo...
full textUsing fuzzy FMEA and fuzzy logic in project risk management
Risk management is one of the most important phases of project management and isthe most recently used by many researchers. In this paper, a fuzzy based method wasproposed which identifies different kinds of risks through the project life cycle. Then, the project risk magnitude can be obtained in regards to five factors, namely“severity”, “occurrence”, and “not detection” which form fuzzy FMEA a...

Background and objectives: The gravity point of all management systems in the new approach of global worldwide standards includes management and assessment of risks and opportunities. Although the spread of COVID-19 as a global pandemic has threatened the health of the workforce and caused catastrophic human and economic consequences, the occurrence of this global challenge has also created opp...
full textFuzzy Risk Analysis Model for E-tourism Investment
This paper provides a Fuzzy based decision support system (DSS) for risk analysis in E-tourism ( Electronic Tourism ) investment. In general term, E-tourism is the use of information and communication technology (ICT) in tourism which may allow operating tourism in least variable cost, least time and increased work efficiency. It is worth noting that there are many factors that affect the deve...
